As a Family Counselor:

I know that the only thing worse than getting divorced is knowing that it could have been prevented.

People tend to struggle with the same problems for many years and find themselves giving up and pursuing a divorce. It is my belief, through many years of experience, that every relationship problem has a solution and it takes a trained clinician to explore, identify and apply strategies to solve issues, even if a couple has been struggling for years.

For those couples who do not pursue counseling and choose not to attempt to repair their relationships, it usually ends in divorce.

Parents find themselves in an even worse situation, due to continuous fighting and disputes that never seem to end. In an out of control divorce, the spouses, their children, extended family members and friends get hurt and this can effect everyone, in a negative manner, for the rest of their lives.

Everyone wants to love and be loved, however, sometimes one or both of the partners must be taught the do's and don't rules in a relationship, such that they can relate to each other in a healthy way and live "happily ever after".  This is possible, with the appropriate care from a licensed clinician.

There is a solution to most problems in life, but it requires a well trained, caring professional to assist, explore and teach others how to apply strategies, and certain behaviors, to meet goals and solve specific problems, once and for all.

That is how I practice and that is who I am. I care about my clients and want the very best life has to offer them.
